Vũng Tàu ( listen) is a city in southern Vietnam. Its population in 2009 was 296,237. The city area is 140 km² (54 sq mi) including 13 urban wards and one commune (xã) of Long Son Islet. It was the capital of Bà Rịa–Vũng Tàu province from the founding of the province and was replaced by Ba Ria from May 2, 2012, and is the crude oil extraction center of Vietnam.

 

 

Beaches

Vũng Tàu has extensive beaches, including Back Beach (Bãi Sau) and Front Beach (Bãi Trước).

 

 

2012년 8월 30일, 31일, 그리고 9월 1일까지 붕따우 해변에 놀러갔다 왔습니다.

호치민에서 버스를 타고 2시간 30분 넘게 걸립니다.

9월 1일 이후에는 베트남 휴일이 있어서 호텔 비용이 40 USD에서 50USD까지 하더라구요.

필자와 일행은 휴일 전에 가서 7USD로 하루를 묵고 그 다음날은 12USD로 호텔에서 보낼 수 있었어요.

2박 3일로 다녀왔는데 하루 더 있고 싶었지만 호텔 비용이 바가지가 되버려서 다시 호치민으로 복귀하였답니다.

 

 

Holidays and festivals

In Vũng Tàu, one of the most widely celebrated holidays is Lễ hội Cá Ông (Whale Holiday). Festivals in the region include the Kite Festival and World Food Festival Culture^[7] Australian tourists come to Vũng Tàu in August to mark the anniversary of the Battle of Long Tân.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

바다위에 있는 파고다(절)이에요. 바닷물이 적을때 걸어서 다녀올 수 있습니다.

 

 

 

 

흰색으로 된 꽤 높은 곳에 위치한 Jesus 건물상에 오르는 길입니다. 날씨가 더우니 중간에 쉬엄 쉬엄 쉬며서 올라갔습니다.

예수상에 올라서 바라본 붕따우 도시와 해변가....다음에 또 가고 싶어지는 곳입니다.
